First off I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, and didn't eat too much chocolate!
Well I know, I have been a bit busy (not lazy) and so that means no post for a while...sorry really, I have been meaning to write again soon!
So I started my holiday friday night with a wonderful visit from Hana Bloom and her mother Robyn. Hana and I went out to a local pub with some of my co workers and we rolled back in about 4am after having a wonderful night out. All my friends loved Hana and wished she could have stayed longer.
Hana and her mother left yesterday after having an amazing Easter brunch with my house family in Tyndale, it was sda to see her go but we had a great two days together. On saturday, I unfortunatly didn't meet up with Shelly and Molly (molly was sick and they didn't my correct phone number) Molly I hope you feel bettter!!
Instead I went on a mini adventure with Hana nad her mother to Gloustonbury, the resting place of King Aurthers bones and the Tor. It was such a cool day and we had a blast exploring the old Abby, climbing the hill to see the Tor, watching the sunset, and going photo crazy together, it was a brilliant day! Mum don't worry I know you want to go to Gloustonbury as well and I want to go again and now I know my way around a bit!
now I need to rewind a bit because I have a whole week to talk about, I might as well start from the beginning!
Sunday:
We had a lovly Palm sunday walk with homemade bread cockrels on the top of our crosses. It was a windy day but we were lucky and it didn't rain!
Then we all came back for Easter cookies and hot chocolate at Halliers with some Sinning later, lead by Syl.
Then Monday was a normal schoolday, but with a special morning asssebbly.
Tuesday was the same also with a morning assembly.
Wednesday, Morning assambly and normal school day again.
Thursday was when things got a bit more interesting, it was the day of green. So for lunch we had a green meal and the table was decorated in beautiful plants (of green) and it was ful table that day, lots of pleaple for lunch, including myself. I only got a partial day off because it was the last week of school and lots needed to be done. Then later that day we had a beautiful reflective sielint supper with the whole school and all the houses. It was a magical 40 minutes, of wonderful sielence. Even my little friend Martin was quiet it was great thing to witness.
Then friday was not a normal school day, insteaad we had easter craft in the houses, followed by anoth assebly and some Gardening. Then for lunch we ahd a special white lunch of fish, rice and some yummy white sauce. Then rest hour, followed by making hot cross buns with our children, then Bella's mum came and last were Martin's parents, who kindly stayed for buns and tea, it was a lovly afternoon.
We all took a deep breath a exhaled after they all left, we at last were free for three weeks! Yes we know we will miss them, but we are all so excited about holiday time.
So It's Monday afternoon and I'm planning on doing some cleaning and preparation for my family that are comming tomorrow then next Tuesday the 1st of April. I hope you all are going to fit, I'm working on finding one more matress...I'll give you an update soon!

Hey there. Great post. Oh..I love Hana. It's great she and her mother got to come visit.
If we are bringing electrical appliances, should I get an adapter? Do you have any at the school that we can use?
Also, is there anything in particular you are missing from Seattle that I can bring you? Love you and can't wait to see you.
Great post, but you spell check? I know you are typing fast, but take some time to go over it.
We are so excited to come. I hope G'ma and G'pa have made it safely. Please make sure they are careful driving up to Scotland and have a great time visiting Aberdeen. I expect a lengthly report and photos :) I hope it is something that you find interesting and a possibility.
Hugs and see you soon.
Mum
Hello both of you..I know spell check I was a in a bit of a hurry! Yes bring an adapter, I only have one...we may need more! Is there anything I'm missing well yes you guys...but hmmm I can't think of anything really that would be possible for you to bring....Chutney? joking!
Just surprise me, I just really want to see everyone!!
kisses,
see you in 6 and 1/2 days!!
I would love to bring Chutney. Can you just see him running through the grass out there in the country. All the new smells!!! Well, it's a nice thought anyway. We will think of something nice from Seattle. See you soon. xoxox
I forgot to tell you to bring your french press along to Scotland! Bummer. Maybe Karyn has one. Grandpa said he had one, maybe I'll go hunt around for it out there.
See you soon love bug!
Mum
Dear Ilaria,
I know that Grandma Carol and Grandpa Stan are there with you! What a treat! And, I heard that you have already done some traveling - to Aberdeen? I would like to hear about that visit.
Your family, Mom, Noah, Mason and Kali (I have not talked with Karyn) are very excited about the trip. I asked Mason what he was most looking forward to - "seeing Ilaria". I am sure he has missed you very much.
We went to see "Wind in the Willows" at Waldorf School. It was tremendous! This past Thursday evening we went to see Alex in "Alice in Wonderland". It, too, was great! Alex was a giant "stink bug" and did a soft show dance with another kid and 5 fathers. He was so pleased with himself!
Fred is doing OK but his legs are getting obviously weaker. I hope to find a riding cart this week for him to use around the community. He is still doing limited garden work with Brent and did quite a planting job in the greenhouse yesterday.
We are planning a trip to Cincinnati in mid-May for Rachel's graduation. rachel.lanphear@cchmc.org is her email. She would love to hear from you. Please include your blog so she could send you messages, too.
I had intended to send something for your birthday. Of course, I did not. Would you like to have some money in your checking account? That would be the easiest.
Fred, Bob, Noah, Mason and I are going to RI in June. We will be there about a week. Hopefully Fred can still get around somewhat by that time. Of course, we can get a wheel chair in the airport, etc.
I'll sign off for now. Take care of yourself as Planet Earth continues to need your passion and energy.
Love,
Gramma Nancy and Grandpa Fred
