Dear fellow bloggers, family and friends,
please forgive the last post...as nice as it was, it was not finished. To sum up it all, which seems impossible because it was just too grand. I had an amazing time with my family here in England exploring lots of places and learning about all this amazing history. It was such an amzing feeling seeing them at Heathrow, it was like magic..or a bit like the movies:)Then when they left I had this feeling of being torn, and that somthing was missing. It was the first time I have had this feeling, because it was the first time they were leaving me, instead of the other way around. I was sad for a bit, but I'm almost done with week three, which means 4 weeks ti my next and last holiday. Then its just six weeks till I return to Seattle...wow it's amazing how fast time goes by. Since I have been back things have been very good I must say. The weather is almost perfect, rains once in a while, but other wise beautiful sun most days. I have even taken to going jogging on a regular basis and swimming a couple days a week, it helps me get through the day. I'm always much happier afterwards, and ready to start work.
I'm ding well, working hard and trying to enjoy my last couple of months here.
Today I took a walk through the sun soaked fields, past grazing cows and suckling lambs. The smell of summer was in the air and my mind drifted away on the river Severn. I went with a good friend who has come for a visit and talked the whole way about life, the past and whats to come. It was one of those perfect days...and one I shall always remember when I think of my time here in England. Well it's my day off today and it's nice to relax and catch up on sleep. Then I went to town after my walk to Oldbury and posted a little somthing..so papa keep an eye on your post box:) Right now I finally got the internet to work on our house laptop and I'm finally updating my blog after weeks! So no pictures this time but maybe next week when my camera need to be emptied.
Wishing all my readers well and stay tuned for more news in the weeks to come.
cheers,
Ilaria

We arrive and York
FROM ILARIA:
So Tuesday morning I awoke feeling excited, the day had come at last! My Mum, two brothers, cousin and Aunt were on their way to Heathrow. It had been seven months since I last saw them all and I couldn't wait to spend two weeks with them exploring the U.K. So when we arrived at the arrival gate I began to get nervous, and the the cup of coffee I drank didn't help in the least. By 12:30 I was really excited and about ready to puke in the bin standing beside me. Then at 12:45 I saw Noah heading towards the gate followed by Kali, Mason, Karyn and last my mum. I jumped over the the rope and hugged the life out of poor Kali and of course as I hugged the rest of them began to cry. My emotions were all over the place and I was more then anything just very happy.
Then it was off to York for some exploring and some much needed sleep. We got to the B&B late and after eating some Tesco ready made sandwiches, climbed under the covers and quickly fell asleep.
FROM NINA:
We made it safely to Heathrow on April 1st. Ilaria was there to meet us and even jumped over the rope to hug us. It was pretty sweet. We then jumped in our cars and headed north to York. We tried to make a stop in Leicester (the ancestral home of Kali's family) but there were too many roundabouts and we got frustrated.
York is a beautiful city. We arrived at our bed and breakfast late on the 1st and slept fitfully. We then headed out early in the morning to walk to the city gate. We luckily were able to join a group getting a free tour of the city. It was such an interesting tour and York would not have been the same without it. The pictures of York Minster seem to have disappeared so that will have come later. It was definitely a highlight for me (Nina). We enjoyed seeing the Shambles, once again those photos have gone missing and we will try to post them soon.
York was a great way to start the trip. It was beautiful. Then it was on to Hadrian's Wall.

Easter week and it's holiday at last!
Greetings devoted readers, friends and loving family,
First off I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, and didn't eat too much chocolate!
Well I know, I have been a bit busy (not lazy) and so that means no post for a while...sorry really, I have been meaning to write again soon!
So I started my holiday friday night with a wonderful visit from Hana Bloom and her mother Robyn. Hana and I went out to a local pub with some of my co workers and we rolled back in about 4am after having a wonderful night out. All my friends loved Hana and wished she could have stayed longer.
Hana and her mother left yesterday after having an amazing Easter brunch with my house family in Tyndale, it was sda to see her go but we had a great two days together. On saturday, I unfortunatly didn't meet up with Shelly and Molly (molly was sick and they didn't my correct phone number) Molly I hope you feel bettter!!
Instead I went on a mini adventure with Hana nad her mother to Gloustonbury, the resting place of King Aurthers bones and the Tor. It was such a cool day and we had a blast exploring the old Abby, climbing the hill to see the Tor, watching the sunset, and going photo crazy together, it was a brilliant day! Mum don't worry I know you want to go to Gloustonbury as well and I want to go again and now I know my way around a bit!
now I need to rewind a bit because I have a whole week to talk about, I might as well start from the beginning!
Sunday:
We had a lovly Palm sunday walk with homemade bread cockrels on the top of our crosses. It was a windy day but we were lucky and it didn't rain!
Then we all came back for Easter cookies and hot chocolate at Halliers with some Sinning later, lead by Syl.
Then Monday was a normal schoolday, but with a special morning asssebbly.
Tuesday was the same also with a morning assembly.
Wednesday, Morning assambly and normal school day again.
Thursday was when things got a bit more interesting, it was the day of green. So for lunch we had a green meal and the table was decorated in beautiful plants (of green) and it was ful table that day, lots of pleaple for lunch, including myself. I only got a partial day off because it was the last week of school and lots needed to be done. Then later that day we had a beautiful reflective sielint supper with the whole school and all the houses. It was a magical 40 minutes, of wonderful sielence. Even my little friend Martin was quiet it was great thing to witness.
Then friday was not a normal school day, insteaad we had easter craft in the houses, followed by anoth assebly and some Gardening. Then for lunch we ahd a special white lunch of fish, rice and some yummy white sauce. Then rest hour, followed by making hot cross buns with our children, then Bella's mum came and last were Martin's parents, who kindly stayed for buns and tea, it was a lovly afternoon.
We all took a deep breath a exhaled after they all left, we at last were free for three weeks! Yes we know we will miss them, but we are all so excited about holiday time.
So It's Monday afternoon and I'm planning on doing some cleaning and preparation for my family that are comming tomorrow then next Tuesday the 1st of April. I hope you all are going to fit, I'm working on finding one more matress...I'll give you an update soon!
I'm impossibly excited, I feel I might burst from pure joy any moment.
Well I leave you all with some photo's from the past week:(enjoy)

P.S. did I mention I'm blode again? :)

well I've been here for about 3 hours so I must go,
love to you all and stay tuned for more updates and stories,
cheers,

just a small update...and it's been almost six moths.
greetings my fellow readers,
well I know it's been almost three weeks since my last post so I thought maybe it was time for a mini update.
To start with, I'm doing very well and looking forward to my Easter holiday that in 16 days!! More than anything I'm looking forward to my family that will arrive during my holiday. My Grandparents arrive on the 25Th of March and I get to visit Scotland with them (whoot whoot!) then on the 1st of April my Mum, two brothers, aunt and cousin arrive and stay for about two weeks. I'm counting down the days and looking forward to the fun we shall have.
Things here at Sheiling are going as well as they can and I'm having a wonderful time with all my co workers and children. Life in Tyndale is as active as ever and we are slowly outing the house in order (It has not been lived in in almost three years.) We just got new cups and we are expecting new dishes soon, Phyl our cook is slowly improving as well although I think we make better food on the weekends when she is off.
Working with Martin Bruse is also slowly getting better and will continue to (I hope! At least that's when they tell me)I work with him two days a week now, Wednesdays and Fridays and they can be stressful but really nice as well, it's hard to stay mad at him for beig cheeky, I really just love him to bits.
Also recently lots of old co workers have been visiting, so it's been interesting hearing about the past and meeting new people.
Last night we celebrated Anna's Birthday, she is 20 now and we had a great party, even Heath was there!
I have also started going for early morning bike rides to Olbury, I haven't made it to the church yet, still waiting for it to get lighter in the mornings so that I can leave the house by 5:30 or so allowing me enough time to get there and back by 7 to get ready for the day. It's such nice thing to do, I always feel energized afterwards and I'm ready to start my day in a good mood.
Joeseph Has not been here for about three weeks and his mother says he may not come back, and he may come back after the holiday in April and move to Thornbury Park and Daniel will be his co worker because Noel is leaving. Noel is 18 now and has been placed in another type of school down near Devon, he leaves at the end of next week sadly, I will really miss him. Also there are two new students Jamie he is in class 7 and a day pupil in Thornbury Park and Sean who is in my house and in class 4, I look after Sean on Monday's a Tuesdays, he is very cheeky sometimes and not always easy to handle (I'm slowly getting to know him.)
Well I wrote far more than I intened but I'm sure for you readers it's not too bad!
Well stay tuned and I'll write more soon!
cheers and well wishes to all.
Ilaria
P.S. I can't believe it will be six months on the 15th!

My Mini holday...that ends tomorrow.
Greetings from Thornbury,
I hope all of you are well and that you had a nice Valentines day.
I'm currently finishing up my mini holiday and I must say it's been a very nice one. I basically did nothing for about nine days, lot's of sleeping and movie watching, with two trips to Bristol, once for a bit of shopping and yesterday to visit the Zoo!
I feel very relaxed and ready to start up again once the children arrive.
This was really what I needed, just to have some time for myself.
I did a lot of thinking while on this holiday. I got a chance to clear my mind a bit and work things out in my head. Not that I'm any closer really to answering any of lifes current questions. I did discover (again) that once you think you have worked something out another thing comes and takes it's place. I'm happy though, I'm taking time to figure things out and I'm working on myself, thats what's important to me at the moment, figuring out what makes ME happy...might take a while though...
At the moment Jashua, Janas great boyfriend and my good friend is here for a visit. I have been having a wonderful time with them, going to Bristol, eating yummy food, watching movies and trips to the farm (Josh loves the little baby pigs).
I'm alot at the moment so excited for my family to come visit me in the Easter Holidays!! It's only five weeks till my Grandma and Grandpa come, I'll get to visit Scottland for the first time with them. Then on the first of April My mum,, the boys and Kali and Karyn come!!! I really can't wait, it will have been a bit over six moths once you all come. We shall all have a great time here in the UK I promise a nice time!
Ok so pictures like always, some form a trip to the local park, The Zoo, Bristol and the Farm:

Three week lster...sorry folks...but life is a bit crazy...
Bonjour family, friends and fellow bloggers,
well it's just one more day till I get a week holiday, which is going to be spent in complete relaxation, thank you very much.
The past month has been long, stressful but very enjoyable at times.
It's Thursday evening and I just had an ok day off, I decided to go to Bristol for the day with Julia. Julia left for Paris today and asked if I would join her in Bristol for a bit till she had to catch her flight. I said yes of course not nderstanding that I would only have an hour with her, but it was nice any way. I did a bit of walking, shopping and people watching, Bristol is a very cool place to observe.
I think however I should rewind a bit, after all it's been about three weeks since my last post.
So I left off just before we went to Wales for a day trip...ok yes now I remember!
We left early Sunday morning in the schools now very full mini bus, with David Jones leading the way. It was a cloudy day and very very very very very very ...wet. However the the area in Wales we visited was very beautiful and a rich green carpet of wet grass cover the hills we climbed. My trousers we soaked by the end and I looked like I had just taken a shower, man I'm telling you wet trousers are the worst feeling in the world.I did manage to get some good photo's and even though I slipped in the mud twice and had a dirty bum I had a nice time with everyone.
Other then that we have not had any other trips, just the usual routine, and of course a lot of hard work to do.
I have been very happy though, much happier in Tyndale than in Park Lodge. Don't get me wrong, I liked living there as well, but it had a differn't feeling then Tyndale has. Tyndale house feels like a family house and it has so much life, I'm so lucky that I get to have two experinces here.
So far working with Martin has been hard work but far more rewarding than working with Joeseph. Martin is one of the most difficult children that we have here at Sheiling and surprisingly enough I've always sought to have a relationship with him. I really wish you could all meet him then you would understand why I love him so much, he can be so sweet and loving at times and he understand almost everything so he is very clever as well. He can be very cheeky at times and this drives me so crazy, but I'm learning a lot of patience working with him and this will really benefit me in the future. He is slowly becoming easier to handle I hope that me and him can build trust together so that I can keep working with him. I also found out at our tusday house meeting that I will also take Martin on Wednesdays so this meens more work but I'm excited to know I get more time to build that relationship and have fun together. Also we are getting two new student in our house one day pupil named Shawn who is going to be a handful, and another little boy who's name I have yt to learn and he will be living with us. So more work to come but lot's more life in our house.
So this week, other then the excitment of the up coming holiday, is the start of Lent, so we had a very funny pancack race on Tuesday and of course I forgot my camera (still hitting myself about that fact!)this is an english tradition and I really think people in America should do it as well, it so funny! Then tomorrow we have Carnival!!! We all get to dress up in sill costumes and have a disco, should be nice and I won't forget my camera this time, promise.
One more thing is that we have a second house mother named Narupa, who used to be a house mother in Tyndale for five years. She is really sweet and a joy to have around and talk to. I can tell I will keep contact with her after I leave, for sure.
Well I'm freezing her in the computer room so I'll just leave you with some photo's from the past couple of weeks.
Ok wait one more thing, it Pascals birthday today, so of course we shall have a party tomorrow night. Should be a nice start to the holiday, and Josh Janas great boyfriend is comming in about an hour from Germany, and will be here for the holiday. I think I will have another nice holdaiy, and maybe even a trip to the Bristol Zoo with Camellia and Jasmin...I'm very excited!
Ok now some photo's:

So I know they have no order really but they were some of my fav's.
well Cheers for now and stay tuned for more post to come.
