What I will be doing and what Im looking forward to!

Well Im about to leave for England in 2 1/2 days!!! Wow thats so soon!! Im so excited, I have never in my whole life made this big of a decision I feel so confident in my choice, and I am proud of myself for taking control of my life.

Im going to be living in the south of England in the beautiful, very Jane Austin, and extremely small town of Thornbury!

While there I will be volunteering at the Sheiling school, its a school for special needs children that is Steiner based. So I should feel right at home with all there Waldorf ways!
I love working with children, so this seemed like such a perfect opportunity for me! I will be there for 11 months, and I hope to learn a lot about myself and others! I look at this journey to come as a thrilling life changing experience, that I will never forget. So as much as I will miss everyone ( I hope you know who you are ) I need to do this so that I can grow and find out more about the world around me!
I will be updating my blog weekly, so stay tuned for photo's and to see what I'm up to!
I love you all!

Ilaria, what an exciting experience for you going to England and working with the children. They are fortunate to have you as an assistant because you have a lot of gifts to offer. I wish you the best.

Dear Ilaria,

You are either in the air or enroute to Thornbury as I write this at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. I thought of you often yesterday, but didn't call as I figured you were in a whirl! Hopefully you have no problems arriving at your destination!

Grandpa and I will write often. And we look forward to seeing you in April!

Sending much love your way!

Dear Ilaria,

Hoping your flight was OK and that you are settling in in fine form. What do you have on your walls or in your personal space? Photos or art pieces that you have created? Your space will define how you feel and will remind you of your task and decision to care for yourself and others.

Take care and remewmber that you are loved.
